DBT for Christians

A new faith-integrated DBT offering from DBT Path. Coming soon.
DBT for Christians is a new, faith-integrated offering from DBT Path, the original online DBT skills class since 2013, created for Christians who want to practice their DBT skills without leaving their faith at the door. Your mental health tools and your heart for God were never meant to live in two separate worlds, and the people on this waitlist will be the first to know when DBT for Christians opens.
Where Scripture meets your DBT skills
At DBT Path, the original online DBT skills class since 2013, our core classes are secular and open to people of every faith and no faith at all, and that is not changing. DBT for Christians is one of our optional faith-based offerings, created for the many members who asked for a way to connect their skills with their walk with Jesus.
This is the heart of a dialectic, the very center of DBT. Two things that can feel opposed, your faith and the science of these skills, can both be true at once. They do not compete. They synthesize. You do not have to choose between your healing and your faith.
What we are building
We are still shaping the details, and your voice on the waitlist will help guide it. Here is the spirit of what is coming:
- The four core DBT skills, mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness, seen through a Christian lens.
- Mindfulness as a way to become still and aware of God’s presence, not simply to empty the mind.
- Radical acceptance understood as sacred surrender, the kind Jesus modeled in the Garden of Gethsemane.
- Emotion regulation that helps you cultivate the fruit of the Spirit in everyday life.
- Boundaries and assertiveness rooted in loving your neighbor and yourself.
- The same warmth, privacy, and gentle, non-judgmental tone DBT Path has been known for since 2013.
Who it is for
DBT for Christians is for you if you love the practical power of DBT skills and also long for them to speak with one voice alongside your faith. Whether you are already steady in your skills or just beginning, you are welcome here.
Why faith and skills belong together
Faith and skills were never meant to live in separate rooms. DBT for Christians is being built to help you bring them together each day, so that prayer and practice support one another instead of competing for your attention.
When you start your morning grounded in God and steadier in your skills, you carry that calm into the rest of your day. Mindfulness becomes a way to notice God’s presence. Distress tolerance becomes a kind of trust. Emotion regulation makes room for the fruit of the Spirit. This is the heart of DBT for Christians, and it is what the people on this waitlist will get to experience first.
